Computerized Driving Test System in Punjab to Launch Soon

City Traffic Police Lahore is going to take a step towards the launching of computerized driving testing system across Punjab Province. This test will be for the car drivers where car drivers will be required to pass the test on car simulator rather than actual cars.

The new system has been already approved by the Government of Punjab and Lahore will be the first city in Punjab to get that facility centers. Talking to the media about this new initiative, Chief Traffic Officer Tayyab Hafeez Cheema said, “According to this new system, citizens would give their driving test through a computerized as well as biometric system in every test center across the city.” He also examined the newly established E-Driving Testing Control Room in Lahore on Friday as well.

Chief CTP said that this new electronic testing system is being launched across the province to replace the old system and will be cost effective and time efficient as well.

For the information of the readers, this new computerized driving system will not be the ordinary one rather there will be a full-fledged system where the candidates will pass the basic traffic rules and regulations as well. The police traffic personnel will no more be required to manually instruct the citizens as citizens will be examined while giving a test on car simulator.

Once the test is completed, it will be feed in the system automatically that will make the process of acquiring a license for the citizens easy and straightforward. This new system will reduce the efforts being made by police to spread the awareness and will minimize the time of both officials and citizens as well.

At least, thirty computers will be set up in each center that will facilitate the 30 candidates at a time. The system will also assure the proper fulfillment of duty by the officials.

Eligibility for Test

The candidates who want to appear for the computerized driving test must have learner driving permit.

Computerized Driving Test Centers in Lahore

Lahore will be the first to get computerized driving test rooms and here are the test centers: Arfa Software Technology Park, Police L.O.S Traffic Police Center Thokar Niaz Baig, Police Lines, LCCHS Defence and CTO Lahore’s office.
